We opened a new section of the 109 yesterday because the first 5 miles from Route 11 heading east to Medway has been closed for logging. The new trail starts at a point 2 miles east of South Twin on the “suspension bridge” trail (aka “Downtown Trail”). It heads east and connects with the original 109 near the West Branch of the Penobscot River (back channel).
