This picture was taken on Monday, January 26, 2015. It shows a substantial pressure ridge on South Twin Lake that runs southeast from Russell Point to “McAvoy’s Island” (1.3 miles north of 5 Lakes Lodge).
Even with no snow on the ice it is difficult to see until you are right on top of it. Now with the new snow it is going to be a DANGEROUS CONDITION on the lake. Please pass this on to anyone who might be using the lake. The ice on the north side of the ridge was very thin with open water in several locations even though the temp was just above zero F.
